Barnsley YMCA Archers is a newly formed archery club within the Barnsley YMCA, incorporating a junior club. The club has excellent indoor shooting facilities and negotiations are underway for outdoor shooting in the Summer 2008. The club welcomes existing archers in all bow disciplines except crossbows which are not allowed and hopes to commence running beginners courses from January 2008 onwards. All members are subject to acceptance by the committee and applicants will be notified in due course. Barnsley YMCA Archers is affiliated to GNAS , Northern Counties Archery Association and Yorkshire Archery Association. The club meets for shooting on: Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm until 9.45pm Friday evenings from 7.00pm until 9.30pm and on alternate Saturday afternoons. The fee structure is as follows: GNAS Fees £37.50 Seniors and £2.75 for Juniors These are due for payment at the end of August. Club fees £65.00 for Seniors and £30.00 for Juniors. The fee includes the fee for membership of the YMCA. Membership of the YMCA is a prerequisite of being a Club member. Members joing during the year will pay pro rata fees The club/ymca fees are due 1st January. Members of other clubs are welcome to come and shoot at the YMCA and fees will be £3.00 per archer The Barnsley YMCA runs many activities throughout the week.
