Barnsley YMCA Archers |
Blucher Street . Barnsley . Sth Yorks . S70 1AP |
Barnsley YMCA Archers was formed in January 2008 and has both indoor and outdoor shooting facilities. The indoor facility is within the Barnsley YMCA on Blucher Street, Barnsley and the outdoor facility is at Worsbrough Bridge Cricket Club. |
Our first day on our new outdoor facility at Worsbrough Bridge Cricket Club. Luckily it was a sunny day and many members came to try out the new space. They were very keen to get outside due to being cooped up inside for the past year, although some members had experienced outdoors before, but for many it was their first time. Everything went brilliantly and everyone was happy and can't wait to get into it. See gallery for our photos. |
Sunday, 10th May |
The club held an outdoor competition for the members and although not a full Western. all those attending enjoyed the session. The weather was very kind to us, being sunny and warm and not windy. For many members it was their first time shooting under competition pressure. see gallery for our photos |

Many of our members attended the Barnsley Albion competition on Sunday. The weather was fine, although a little breezy. Everyone enjoyed the shoot and special mention goes to Charlotte and Ethan, who both competed excellently at the young age. Special mention also to Michelle, competing in the visually impaired class. For most othe members this was their first shoot, Craig, Phil and Kerry shooting the Albion distance, Lee and Carol shooting the Windsor, Addison and Michael shooting a junior Windsor. see gallery for photos |
