Barnsley YMCA Archers is a friendly, members-led club open to archers of any ability and experience shooting any bow style accepted by Archery GB. Members are accommodating and supportive of other members archery needs and are encouraged to take an active part in the running of the club, its events and the maintenance of its facilities and equipment.
We are located in the heart of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, UK. As an officially affiliated club with ArcheryGB, the national governing body for archery in the UK, we take pride in promoting the sport of archery and fostering a thriving community of archers of all skill levels. We are also members to our more local governing bodies, Yorkshire Archery Association (YAA) and the Northern Counties Archery Society (NCAS).

Unfortunately, due to the forecasted snow, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the final session of our November Beginner’s Archery Course. - 2024 Indoor Season Temporary Home
Join us on Tuesday, 1st October at Broad Close Farm as we kick off the indoor archery season in our temporary new home, with range set-up instructions and a warm, welcoming environment for all members!
Sunday 19th April from 10:15am onwards, to help us do a stock inventory of equipment and beginner's bows. Let us know if you can make it, it'll be in the Sports Hall.

Our AGM is your chance to have your say in how the club is run. We’ll be covering key updates, committee matters, and plans for the future.
All members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Whether you’re a regular attendee or newer to the club, your voice matters.
