Welcome to Barnsley YMCA Archers
Barnsley YMCA Archers is a friendly, members-led club open to archers of any ability and experience shooting any bow style accepted by Archery GB. Members are accommodating and supportive of other members archery needs and are encouraged to take an active part in the running of the club, its events and the maintenance of its facilities and equipment.
We are located in the heart of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, UK. As an officially affiliated club with ArcheryGB, the national governing body for archery in the UK, we take pride in promoting the sport of archery and fostering a thriving community of archers of all skill levels. We are also members to our more local governing bodies, Yorkshire Archery Association (YAA) and the Northern Counties Archery Society (NCAS).

Unfortunately, due to the forecasted snow, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the final session of our November Beginner’s Archery Course. - 2024 Indoor Season Temporary Home
Join us on Tuesday, 1st October at Broad Close Farm as we kick off the indoor archery season in our temporary new home, with range set-up instructions and a warm, welcoming environment for all members!
You’ve got extended access to the outdoor field during the season:
✔️ Monday & Tuesday – All day & evening
✔️ Wednesday & Thursday – Up to 4pm
✔️ Friday – All day & evening
✔️ Saturday – From 12pm
✔️ Sunday – From 4pm
This gives you loads of flexibility to get practice in around your schedule 💪
👥 Remember – club sessions are still:
Tuesdays & Fridays from 6:30pm

Our Tuesday & Friday 6:30pm sessions are a great chance to:

✔️ Share tips
✔️ Have a laugh between ends
All abilities welcome—just come along and get involved!
The short range is now officially CLOSED and is no longer to be used under any circumstances.
This is a strict safety and facility decision and it applies to all members at all times.
❗ Please do not set up or shoot on the short range.
❗ All shooting must take place on the main outdoor field within allocated times.
